Macadamia Nut Hummus image

This is a Hawaiian-style hummus that is great to use as a spread on thinly sliced snack bread or as a dip for vegetables.

1/2 c roasted macadamia nuts
2 c garbanzo beans, drained
2 Tbsp olive oil
1 Tbsp lemon juice
3 Tbsp water
1 tsp minced garlic
10 medium basil leaves
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper

Steps:

  • 1. Place all ingredients in a food processor and puree until smooth.
  • 2. Serve as a spread on thinly sliced bread or as a dip for vegetables.
