Laura's Chili image

Number Of Ingredients 19

2 pounds Ground Turkey/Beef/Beef Chuck/Chorizo
1 head Onion
6 cloves Garlic
1/4 cup Chili Powder
1 tablespoon Cumin
1/2 tablespoon Oregano
14 ounces Tomato Sauce
30 ounces Diced Tomatoes with Green Chilies
15 ounces Red Kidney Beans
15 ounces Chili Beans
15 ounces Black Beans
1 handful Sugar
1 head Anaheim Pepper
1 head Jalapeno
1 handful Salt
1 dash Cheddar Cheese
1 dash Sour Cream
1 dash Cilantro
1 dash Juanita's Chips

Steps:

  • Combine meat, onion and garlic and saute until brown. Drain.
  • Add chili powder, cumin and oregano. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Add tomato sauce, tomatoes, beans and sugar. Simmer for hours - longer the better!
  • Add peppers last. Simmer for another 15 minutes or so.
  • Top with sour cream, cheese, cilantro (or scallions) and chips (optional). Maybe avocado!
