This is an old family recipe. Nothing tastes better with polish sausage, smoked sausage, etc.

Number Of Ingredients 5

1 (16oz) can(s) shredded sauerkraut
1 small head cabbage, shredded
8oz slice mushrooms, or canned (stems and pieces)
2 Tbsp margarine or bacon drippings, have always used the bacon drippings
pepper- to taste

Steps:

  • 1. Mix all ingredients together. Cover and simmer, and stir occasionally, for about 1 hour.
