JEWEL'S CHEDDAR CABBAGE CASSEROLE image

I have always loved cabbage in various forms. And, I love adding a little heat. So, I have flipped this Allrecipes around a little to suit my taste. It will give you awesome reviews.

2 1/2 cup(s) coarsely crushed cornflakes
1/2 cup(s) butter, melted
4 1/2 cup(s) cabbage, shredded
1/2 cup(s) chopped onion
1/2 teaspoon(s) red pepper flakes
1/4 teaspoon(s) salt
1/4 teaspoon(s) black pepper
1 can(s) 10.75 oz condensed cream of celery soup, undiluted
1 cup(s) milk, whole
1/2 cup(s) mayonnaise
2 1/2 cup(s) shredded cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • Toss cornflakes in butter, sprinkle half into a 13x9x2 in baking dish. Layer the cabbage, onion, red pepper flakes, salt and pepper.
  • In a bowl, combine soup, milk, and mayonnaise until smooth. Spoon over cabbage mixture. Sprinkle cheese and remaining cornflakes mixture on top. Bake, uncovered, in preheated oven at 350 degrees F 45-50 minutes or until golden brown.
