ITALIAN SAUTEED GREEN BEANS image

Yield Serves 4-6.

Number Of Ingredients 4

1 1/2 lb. fresh green beans, washed and tips broken off
1 large onion, halved and then cut into 1/4" thick slices
1 clove of garlic, finely chopped (optional)
2 T butter and 1 T olive oil

Steps:

  • Melt butter with the olive oil in 12" frying pan over medium heat. Saute the (optional)garlic lightly. Add the prepared fresh green beans and onion slices to the frying pan. Toss to coat. Cover and lower the heat to medium low. Cook covered for about an hour, stirring occasionally. Beans and onions should be cooked and browned.
