ITALIAN CHICKEN SANDWICHES CROCKPOT image

• 2-3 pounds chicken breast
• 1 jar spaghetti or marinara sauce
• ½ cup onion, chopped
• ½ cup bell pepper, chopped (or use a bag of mixed frozen onion and bell peppers)
• minced garlic (to taste)
• 2-3 tsp. basil (or use frozen basil squares from the freezer section)
• salt and pepper (to taste)
•Your favorite seasoned bread

Steps:

  • 1. First, add 2-3 pounds of chicken breast to the slow cooker. 2. Next, add 1 jar of your favorite spaghetti or marinara sauce on top of the chicken. 3. Add ½ cup chopped onions and ½ cup chopped bell peppers to the slow cooker. We like to use the frozen bag of mixed onion and bell peppers that you can find in the frozen section in your grocery store. 4. Then, add some minced garlic to your taste. 5. Add 2-3 tsp. of basil. We like to use the frozen basil squares that you can find in the frozen section of your grocery store. 6. Add salt and pepper to your taste. 7. Finally, cover and cook on LOW for 6 hours. Once it is done cooking, shred the chicken with a fork and then serve on your favorite seasoned bread. We recommend lightly toasting these sandwiches in the oven before serving. Enjoy!
