- 1. Heat oven to 400 F. Stir together DRY cake mix and pumpkin in a large bowl. It will be very thick and you will be tempted to add ingredients. DON'T! Spoon into muffin pan lined with paper liners or sprayed with non-stick cooking spray. Bake at 400 for 20 minutes. Enjoy! You are in for a surprise.
