My nephew asked for mashed potatoes and gravy for Christmas dinner. We are having ham so I was not sure about a gravy. My friend had told me about a ham gravy she made with evaporated milk. I found this recipe and the family loved it.

- 1. Heat the ham fat and butter together.
- 2. Add the flour, salt and pepper. Stir to make paste.
- 3. Stir in the ham drippings, milk and water.
- 4. Cook the ham gravy stirring constantly until well blended, thick and smooth.
- 5. Serve ham gravy along with your favorite biscuits or potatoes.
