GROUND PORK SKILLET image

Number Of Ingredients 9

2 cups uncooked penne pasta
1 pound ground pork
1/2 chopped onion
2 cloves garlic
1 can (14-1/2 ounces) stewed tomatoes
1 can (8 ounces) tomato sauce
2 teaspoons fresh herbs--basil, thyme, rosemary, oregano
Salt and pepper
2 small summer squash, cut into 1/4-inch slices

Steps:

  • Cook pasta according to package directions. Meanwhile, in a large skillet, saute onion and garlic briefly in olive oil, add pork and brown over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain. Add the tomatoes, tomato sauce and herbs. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and cook for 5minutes to allow flavors to blend. Drain pasta; add to skillet. Stir in squash. Cover and cook for 3-5minutes or until zucchini is crisp-tender.
