Grandma Helen's Rice Pudding image

This is the best rice pudding so creamy and good!!!

Number Of Ingredients 7

4 cup(s) milk, 1%
1/2 cup(s) sugar
2/3 cup(s) jasmine rice
1 large egg beaten
2 tablespoon(s) water
1 teaspoon(s) real vanilla
1/4 cup(s) raisins optional

Steps:

  • In saucepan place milk, rice, sugar. Bring to a boil and simmer for 20 min or until rice is soft and milk is creamy.
  • When finished cooking place the beaten egg mixed with the water and add slowly to the pudding. Cook for about 5 min more or until it is set up. You may add raisins and vanilla at this time if you desire.
  • Place in bowl and sprinkle with cinnamon.
