Steps:
- Heat oven to 350°. Grease jelly roll pan. Mix brown sugar, 1 cup butter, the eggs and 1 teaspoon vanilla in large bowl. Stir in flour, baking soda and 1/2 taspoon salt; stir in oats. Reserve 1/3 of the oatmeal mixture. Press remaining oatmeal mixture in pan. Heat chocolate chips, milk and 2 tablespoons butter in 2 quart saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly, until chocolate chips are melted. Remove from heat; stir in nuts, 1 teaspoon vanilla and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Spread over oatmeal mixture in pan. Drop reserve oatmeal mixture by rounded teaspoonfuls onto chocolate mixture. Bake until golden brown, 25-30 minutes. Cut while warm.
