Eggless Waffles image

Adapted for my food allergic son. These waffles are fluffy but crisp on the outside. Top with syrup or fresh fruit and whipped cream!

Yield 7-9 Waffles.

Number Of Ingredients 9

3 cups flour
2 tablespoons baking powder
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups whole milk
1 1/2 cups water
1/3 cup orange juice
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1 teaspoon vanilla

Steps:

  • Combine all dry ingredients. Whisk together.
  • Combine wet ingredients. Add to dry ingredients. Mix well, until no dry flour remains.
  • Take care not to over mix.
  • Cook to desired doneness in waffle iron. I cook on darkest setting.
  • *Note*.
  • 7/10/16- I recently tried to make them a little healthier. I used 1 1/2 c all purpose flour and 1 1/2 c whole wheat flour and it worked! The waffles still turned crispy as well as fluffy and not too dense! I also added about a 1/2 tsp cinnamon, just for kicks.
  • You can also swap out the milk and water (3 cups combined) for any plant milk at an equal 3 cups.
