Easy Coconut Pecan Frosting Recipe image

A rich, crunchy topping for a yellow or chocolate cake.

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 Egg
2/3 C. Evaporated milk
2/3 C. Sugar
1/4 C. Butter (or margarine)
1 1/3 C. Flaked coconut
1/2 C. Chopped pecans

Steps:

  • In a heavy saucepan slightly beat the egg with a fork. Stir in the evaporated milk and sugar. Add butter (or margarine). Cook and stir over medium heat about 12 minutes or until thickened and bubbly. Stir in coconut and pecans. Cool thoroughly.
