DOUBLE CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES image

Yield 24 4 inch cookies

Number Of Ingredients 12

1 cup unsalted butter melted and slightly cooled
1 cup packed dark brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 t vanilla
1/2 t almond extract
2 1/4 cups all purpose flour
1 t baking powder
1 t salt
3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
3/4 cup white chocolate baking chips
1 cup whole unsalted almonds coarsely chopped

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 375 degrees. Mix melted butter and both sugars until well blended. Add eggs, vanilla and almond extract. Stir to combine. In a medium bowl, mix flour, salt and baking powder. Stir flour mixture into butter mixture. Add nuts and chips and stir to combine. Line cookie sheets with parchment paper. Use a 1/4 measuring cup to scoop dough. Flatten in to 3 inch rounds leaving 2 inches between cookies. Bake for 12-14 minutes. Cookies should be light brown at the edges and slightly soft in the middle. Remove cookies and parchment paper on to cooling rack.
