CROCK POT RED BEANS AND RICE image

1 bag kidney beans
1 onion
1 green bell pepper
1 T minced garlic
2 bay leaves
1t dried thyme
¼ t Allspice
1 can chopped tomato
1 t salt
½ t pepper

Steps:

  • soak kidney beans overnight. Put in crackpot with 6 cups of water, 1 cup chopped onion, chopped bell pepper, minced garlic, bay leaves, dried thyme, allspice, tomato, sale and pepper. Cook on high for 5 hours. Add sliced sausage and ham, and cook for additional 2-3 hours. Serve over rice.
