Crock-pot Apple Chicken image

This was a tossed together recipe without much measuring. You can change the amount of seasonings to suit your taste.

1 pkg chicken breast halves, skinless and boneless
4 medium apples (any type)
1/2 small sweet yellow onion
2 pinch rosemary, dried
1 Tbsp cinnamon
1 Tbsp sugar
1 c apple cider vinegar
1 Tbsp tony chachere's seasoning
3 c water
1 Tbsp garlic powder

Steps:

  • 1. Cut the apples into slices without core. Set aside.
  • 2. Mix apple cider vinegar and water in bottom of empty crock-pot.
  • 3. Arrange the chicken breasts (you can use chicken thighs, legs, etc..also) in the bottom of crock-pot. Arrange the apple slices around and on top of chicken.
  • 4. Cut up 1/2 onion into small pieces. Place in crock-pot around chicken.
  • 5. Sprinkle all other seasonings over chicken and apples. Cover and cook on low heat until chicken pulls apart easily and liquid is brown.
