Cream Gravy image

I serve this over chicken fried steak, biscuits and many other dishes

Number Of Ingredients 4

2 c whole milk, at room temperature
2 Tbsp butter
2 Tbsp flour
to taste salt and pepper

Steps:

  • 1. Melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium,
  • 2. Whisk in the flour and cook for a minute. Be sure it doesn't brown.
  • 3. Slowly whisk in the milk.
  • 4. Raise the temperature and continue whisking until it starts to thicken. About 5 minutes.
  • 5. Add the salt and pepper to taste.
  • 6. I use about 1/2 teaspoon salt and a generous amount of pepper.
