Cowboy Baked Beans image

There are many variations of baked beans. I like this one that has a little bit of a bite from the jalapeno and love the smokey flavor.

30 oz pork and beans (2 cans)
1 c ketchup
1/4 c brown sugar
2 Tbsp worcestershire sauce
1 Tbsp prepared mustard
1/2 c onion, finely chopped
1 tsp jalapeno nacho rings, finely chopped
3 dash(es) liquid smoke, optional (about 3 drops)
3 slice bacon, raw

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350F.
  • 2. Mix all ingredients together except for bacon. Pour into a two-quart casserole.
  • 3. Top with bacon.
  • 4. Bake for approximately one hour.
  • 5. Remove bacon and stir before serving.
  • 6. NOTE: I usually just chop up the bacon and add it to the other ingredients before baking.
