Country Style Steak image

this is a tried and true recipe from my family. It's easy on the budget and easy to make. This steak will be so tender you can cut it with a fork. Your family will love it!

Number Of Ingredients 5

4 medium pieces of cube steak
1 can(s) cream of mushroom soup
1 pkg lipton onion soup mix
1 can(s) water
salt and pepper to taste

Steps:

  • 1. Brown Cube steak in a pan. Mix both soups with water. pour half the soup mixture into a crock pot, add browned steak pieces and top with remaining soup mixture. salt and pepper to taste. It may seem a little dry but the cooking will produce more liquid gravy.
  • 2. Cook on high for 30 minutes and then reduce head to low. Cook 6 to 8 hours until done. I like to serve this with mashed potatoes and pour the gravy over the potatoes, hope you enjoy it!
