Cordon Bleu Casserole image

Number Of Ingredients 16

4 c cooked turkey, 1" cubes
3 c ham, cooked and cubed
1 c shredded cheddar cheese
1 c chopped onion
1/4 c butter
1/3 c flour
2 c light cream
1 tsp dill weed
1/8 tsp dry mustard
1/8 tsp ground mustard
TOPPING INGREDIENTS
1 c dry bread crumbs
2 tsp melted butter
1/4 tsp dill weed
1/4 c shredded cheddar cheese
1/4 c chopped walnuts

Steps:

  • 1. In a large bowl, combine turkey, ham and cheese, set aside.
  • 2. In a saucepan, saute onion in butter until tender.
  • 3. Add flour, stir to form a paste.
  • 4. Gradually add cream stirring constantly.
  • 5. Bring to a boil, boil 1 minute or until thick.
  • 6. Add dill, mustard and nutmeg, mix well.
  • 7. For the topping, toss bread crumbs, butter and dill; stir in cheese and walnuts.
  • 8. Sprinkle over the casserole.
  • 9. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until heated through.
