Blonde Brownies image

I prefer blonde brownies over chocolate brownies. These are yummy!

Number Of Ingredients 11

1 c all purpose flour--sifted
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 c chopped nuts
1/2 pkg semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/3 c butter-melted
1/8 tsp baking soda
1 c light brown sugar-packed
1 egg--slightly beaten
1 tsp vanilla extract
***PREHEAT OVEN TO 350 DEGREES***

Steps:

  • 1. To sifted flour, add baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Sift again. Add nuts.
  • 2. In an sauce pan, melt butter. Mix in sugar. Cool. Stir in the egg and vanilla. Place in a large bowl.
  • 3. Gradually add the flour mixture to the sugar mixture. Spread in a 9x9x2 pan that has been well greased. Sprinkle the chocolate chips on top. Bake at 350* for 20 to 25 minutes. DO NOT OVER BAKE. Cool in the pan. Cut into 24 bars.
