Basic Cooked Rice image

2 cups water
1 cup long grain rice
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon butter

Steps:

  • In a large saucepan, combine all ingredients. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 15 minutes. Remove from heat; let stand for 5 minutes.
