Banana Split Cake image

This recipe came from one of the ladies at our church when I was a kid. I can't even remember who made it, but I can tell you, it was always my favorite dessert at church dinners!

Number Of Ingredients 10

1 1/2 c graham cracker crumbs
1/4 c granulated sugar
1/3 c melted butter
2 c powdered sugar
3 (8 oz.) packages cream cheese, softened
2 can(s) (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple, drained very thoroughly
4 medium medium bananas, sliced
1 (8 oz.) tub of cool whip
1 c crushed pecans or walnuts
1 c maraschino cherries

Steps:

  • 1. Mix crumbs, granulated sugar and butter; press firmly onto bottom of 9x13 inch pan. Freeze 10 minutes.
  • 2. Beat cream cheese and powdered sugar with electric mixer on medium speed until well blended. Spread evenly over crust.
  • 3. Top with crushed pineapple. Slice the bananas and arrange over the pineapple.
  • 4. Spread cool whip on top and garnish with chopped peanuts and maraschino cherries.
