Bacon Hamburger Steak with Mushroom Gravy image

What better way to celebrate my 300th recipe on JAP than with a good for the soul recipe dedicated to my Grandma Logan. She is my inspiration and role model. Oh how I wish she was here in body so that I could give her a big ole' kiss and thank her for helping mold me into the person I am today. I love you! sw :)

1/2 lb thick sliced pepper bacon, cut in pieces
1 tsp oregano, fresh
1 medium sweet onion, sliced
4 medium garlic cloves, chopped
FOR THE RUB YOU WILL NEED
2 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp chipotle chili powder
2 tsp hot paprika
2 tsp ground coriander
1 tsp oregano, fresh
kosher salt & pepper
FOR THE GRAVY YOU WILL NEED
6 oz maker's mark bourbon
24 oz beef broth
1/3 c all purpose flour
