Another one of Moms outstanding recipes. I love Aplets and Cotlets - and this one is really good.

Number Of Ingredients 7

APLETS
2 c apple pulp
2 c granulated sugar
1 c chopped walnuts
2 Tbsp unflavored gelatin
8 Tbsp cold water
1 Tbsp lemon juice

Steps:

  • 1. Wash apples and cut in small pieces without peeling. Cook in enough water to keep them from burning until tender. Put through a sieve. Soak gelatin in cold water. Cook apples pulp and sugar until very thick. Stir constantly. Remove from heat, add gelatin and stir until dissolved, Add nuts and lemon juice. Pour in shallow pan to cool. When set, cut in rectangular pieces and roll in powdered sugar.
