Peanut Brittle Recipe - (4.5/5) image

Number Of Ingredients 7

1/2 cup water
2 cups sugar
1 cup corn syrup
1/2 cup butter
2 cups peanuts
2 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon vanilla

Steps:

  • Bring water to a boil, add sugar and syrup. Cook to 260°F stirring constantly. Add butter and peanuts. Keep stirring and cook to 305°F. Remove from heat. Add baking soda and vanilla. Stir in thoroughly. Pour onto buttered cookie sheets. As it cools, stretch until very thin. Let cool until hard, then break into pieces.
