"These delights are soft and chewy" a comment from the original recipe post. I adopted this recipe, made it and I agree. I followed the recipe, next time I will reduce the amount of brown sugar to 1/4 cup, the cookies/squares are sweet.

Steps:
- Combine oats, flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and cinnamon in a bowl, set aside
- In another bowl combine the applesauce, brown sugar, corn syrup, egg white and vanilla, stir until sugar dissolves.
- Add dry ingredients to the liquids, mix well.
- Grease (I used a non-stick cooking spray)a 9x15 inch cookie sheet, spread batter on the prepared pan.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes.
- Cool and cut into squares yield depends on size of squares.

So, it was Sunday and my sis and me really wanted to have a nice, comforting cookie to sweeten the day with. We wanted it fast and without having to go to the neighbours for a fancy ingredient. Well, this is the recipe we found. It completely fit the bill. Hope youll enjoy it, too! :)

Steps:
- In a big bowl cream butter and sugar. Add egg and yoghurt/milk. Mix inches.
- In a second bowl combine oats, vanilla, flour and baking powder. Add flour mixture to creamed butter. Stir in well.
- Fold in chocolate pieces.
- Form into small balls (size of a walnut) and flatten slightly. Place on a paper-lined baking sheet.
- Bake in the preheated oven at 180°C/375°F for 10-15 minutes.
