½ cup butter
¾ cup brown sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
½ teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
1 cup chopped chocolate-covered toffee candy bars (such as Heath®)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease baking sheets.
  • Beat butter and sugar with an electric mixer in a large bowl until creamy. Beat egg and vanilla extract into the butter mixture.
  • Sift flour, baking soda, and salt together in a separate bowl; stir into the butter mixture. Fold chopped candy bars into the mixture. Drop batter by the teaspoonful onto prepared baking sheets.
  • Bake in preheated oven until golden brown, 12 to 15 minutes. Cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to cooling racks to cool completely.

Move over chocolate chip because we can't stop swooning over these Health Bar cookies from Devonna Banks, owner of Butter Bakery in Los Angeles. Crunchy on the outside with a melt-in-your-mouth middle, these cookies are a must-bake!

¾ cup granulated sugar
¾ cup light brown sugar
1 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 teaspoon kosher salt
2 large eggs, room temperature
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
6 bars Heath Bars, frozen (1.4-ounce)

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, stir together the granulated and brown sugars, melted butter, and salt.
  • Stir in the eggs until completely incorporated. Add the vanilla and stir to combine.
  • Add the flour and baking soda and stir until there are no lumps or white streaks.
  • Remove the Heath bars from the freezer and smack on the counter to break into pieces. Add to the cookie dough and fold to incorporate.
  • Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour (or freeze for up to 3 months).
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C). Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • Scoop the chilled cookie dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing about 2 inches apart. Bake for 11-13 minutes, or until the edges just start to brown. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheets for about 10 minutes.

A perfect recipe for anybody who likes toffee. The cookies have a wonderful crisp texture and overall toffee flavor while the chunks of toffee in the cookie itself are to die for. Skor bars work just as well, though I suggest using whole bars and crushing them over the bagged toffee bits since the chocolate makes a big difference. When you crush them up try to leave pieces of all different sizes, from crumbs to a few really big chunks and lots of in-betweens. These cookies also do well with 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped and added with the toffee.

1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2 cups chopped toffee pieces (eight 1.4 ounce bars)
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 eggs

Steps:

  • Sift together the flour, salt, and baking soda. Set aside. In a separate bowl, combine toffee pieces and chopped walnuts. Set aside.
  • Cream butter until fluffy. Add the sugar and continue to beat until light and fluffy (a couple minutes). Beat in eggs one at a time, and vanilla.
  • Alternatively mix in the Heath Bar mixture and the flour mixture, a third at a time, until well blended. Chill cookie dough for at least 30 minutes (better an hour).
  • Preheat oven to 350°F On cookie sheets lined with parchment paper, spoon out the cookie dough in small 1-inch diameter balls (size of a large marble). Place dough balls 3 inches away from each other on the cookie sheets. (Make sure there is plenty of room between the cookie balls, and that the cookie balls aren't too big. These cookies spread!).
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the edges are just starting to brown. Remove from oven and let cool for a few minutes. Then transfer the cookies to a wire rack to cool completely.

2 cups semi sweet chocolate chips
1-2 cups heath bar crunch chips
1-1.5 cups crushed pecans

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F . Stir flour with baing soda and salt; set asisde. Beat butter with sugar and brown sugar at medium speed until creamy. Add vanilla and eggs. one at a time, mixing on low speed until incorporated. Gradually blend dry mixture into creamed mixture. stir in chocolate and other cups and nuts. Drop by tablespoon onto ungreased cookie sheets . Bake for 9-11 minutes or until golden brown

2 1/2 c all purpose flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
2 stick butter, softened
1 1/2 c sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 c heath bar pieces
1/2 c walnuts, chopped

Steps:

  • 1. Sift together flour, salt & baking soda. Set aside.
  • 2. In a separate bnowl, combine Heath Bar pices & chopped walnuts. Set aside.
  • 3. Beat together butter & sugar. Beat in eggs, one a time & vanilla.
  • 4. Alternately mix in the Heath Bar mixure & the flour mixture, a third at a time, until well blended.
  • 5. Chill cookie dough for atleast 30 minutes.
  • 6. Preheat oven to 350. On cookie sheets lines with parchment paper, spoon 1 in balls. Place balls atleast 2 inches apart. Make sure there is room to spread.
  • 7. Bake 10-12 minutes, until edges are starting to brown. Remove from oven & let cool for a few minutes. Let cookies cool completely.

½ cup Crisco solid shortening
¼ cup butter, softened
1¼ cups firmly packed light brown sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla extract (that's not a typo... it's about 3X the normal amount of vanilla)
2 tablespoons milk or cream
1 egg
1¾ cups + 2 tablespoons unsifted all purpose flour
¾ teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt (also a bit more than usual for a batch this size)
12 oz. semisweet chocolate chips
6 oz. Heath Toffee Bits
¾ cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°. Place length of foil on flat surface (or on cookie sheet, see "Optional:" in Introduction.) In large bowl, beat shortening, brown sugar, milk or cream, and vanilla on medium speed of electric mixer until well blended. Add egg. Beat well. Stir together flour, salt and baking soda. Gradually add dry ingredients to sugar mixture, beating at low speed, just until well mixed. Stir in chocolate, toffee chips (and nuts, if desired). Drop by rounded tablespoons 3" apart onto ungreased cookie sheet. (These cookies spread a bit more than regular chocolate chip cookies.) Bake 10-11 min, or until cookies are set. Cookies will appear soft and moist, and a little puffed-up, which will drop as they cool. Do not overbake. Cool 2 minutes; remove from cookie sheet to foil. Cool completely. Store in tightly sealed container.

1/3 c vegetable oil
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 eggs
6 oz heath baking chips
1/2 c nuts, chopped - use your favorite

  • 1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Mix cake mix, oil, eggs and vanilla. Stir in chips and nuts. Drop by teaspoons on ungreased cookie sheet and bake 8-10 minutes. The centers will still be a little soft. Cool slightly then remove from cookie sheet. About 3 dozen.

3 cups flour

3 (1 7/8 ounce) Heath candy bars

Steps:

  • Blend margarine, sugar and vanilla. Mix well.
  • Add flour and baking soda.
  • Mix in crushed candy bars.
  • Roll into balls and flatten with a fork.
  • Bake for 1o minutes at 350°F.
