Rich and fudgy and so easy to make. We love these brownies. You can throw in chocolate chips or swirl caramel or peanut butter in them. You can't go wrong with this recipe.

Number Of Ingredients 9

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
2 cups sugar
2/3 cup cocoa powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
2/3 cup vegetable oil
4 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • In large mixing bowl combine all ingredients except nuts.
  • Stir fifty strokes with a wooden spoon.
  • Stir in walnuts and pour into greased 9x13 inch pan.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes or until toothpick comes out with moist crumbs on it.
  • Do not overbake.

These are definitely the best brownies ever. Classic, fudgey, good brownies. They are so easy to make, it takes just as much time as a boxed brownie and they are sooo much better.

1 cup margarine
2 cups sugar (no substitutes)
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 eggs
1/2 cup cocoa powder
2 cups flour
1 cup pecans (optional) or 1 cup walnuts (optional)
1/4 cup powdered sugar

Steps:

  • Cream together the margerine and sugar until fluffy. Do not underbeat, this may take 5-10 minute.
  • Add the remaining ingredients, reserving the powdered sugar for later, and blend well. Batter will be stiff.
  • Put into a 9X13" pan and bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes.
  • Don't overbake, this is supposed to be a moist fudgey brownie.
  • Let cool and sprinkle powdered sugar on top.

1/2 cup butter or 1/2 cup margarine
1/4 cup cocoa
2 eggs
1 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup flour
1/2 cup walnuts (optional)
1 pinch salt

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F
  • Melt butter in microwave.
  • Add the cocoa and stir.
  • In medium bowl beat eggs until frothy.
  • Add sugar, flour, and salt (also nuts if you are using them).
  • Pour cocoa mixture over egg mixture and stir all together.
  • Put into a greased 8 x 8 pan. Bake for 30 minutes.
  • For a doubled recipe use a 9 x 13 pan.
  • Icing, recipe below.
  • Icing for Best Ever Brownies:
  • 1 1/3 cup icing sugar.
  • 1/3 cup cocoa.
  • 3 tbsp butter or margarine.
  • 1 tbsp & 2 tsp hot water
  • Beat all ingredients together, add more liquid if necessary.
  • Spread over brownies.

2 c sugar
2 stick butter, melted
10 Tbsp cocoa powder
4 eggs, slightly beaten
1 1/2 c flour
dash salt
1/2 c walnuts, coarsely chopped
1/2 c chocolate chips

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350, grease 13" X 9" pan
  • 2. In large bowl using a spoon mix melted butter, sugar and cocoa well.
  • 3. Add slightly beaten eggs and mix well.
  • 4. Add flour and dash of salt, mix.
  • 5. Mix in chocolate chips.
  • 6. Pour into a greased 13" X 9" pan. Sprinkle with coarsely chopped walnuts.
  • 7. Put into preheated 350 oven, bake for 30 minutes. Brownies comeout lighty fudgy.
