1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
1 cup freshly squeezed lime juice
1 ¾ cup simple syrup
1 ounce Gin
1 ounce Vodka
1 ounce Elderflower Liqueur
2 ounces homemade sweet and sour
2 Lime wedges

Steps:

  • Combine lime juice, lemon juice and simple syrup in mason jar and shake to combine.
  • Refrigerate until ready to make martinis.
  • Pour gin, vodka, elderflower liqueur and sweet & sour mix in a martini shaker filled with ice. Shake vigorously to combine.
  • squeeze a lime wedge into each martini glass and divide contents of shaker between two glasses.
  • Serve immediately.

Gin and Elderflower Martini image

Fresh lemon syrup and elderflower liqueur compliment the gin in this refreshing cocktail. A garnish of lemon zest creates a fragrant finish.

1 lemon
1/4 cup sugar
2 cups gin
3/4 cup elderflower liqueur, such as St. Germain
1 1/2 cups ice

Steps:

  • Remove 8 thin strips of zest from the lemon using a vegetable peeler and set aside. Thinly slice the lemon into rounds and put into a small saucepan along with the sugar and 1/3 cup water. Bring to a boil and cook, stirring, until the sugar dissolves. Let cool at room temperature and strain.
  • Rub a strip of zest around the rim of 8 martini glasses, and then drop into the bottom of each glass for garnish. Combine the gin, elderflower liqueur, lemon syrup and ice in a measuring cup or pitcher and stir until very cold. Strain into the prepared glasses.
