BAKE SALE CHOCOLATE CHIP OATMEAL BROWNIES
The recipe for these moist, delicious brownies has been in my family for as long as I can remember. It is a winner with everyone and is a great bake sale item. At a recent sale, one man came back twice and then sent his son for more!

Steps:
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Beat butter and sugars with an electric mixer until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs and vanilla extract. Blend in flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. Mix in oats and 1 cup chocolate chips.
- Spread batter evenly in an ungreased 9x13-inch baking pan. Sprinkle remaining 1 cup chocolate chips evenly on top.
- Bake in the preheated oven until edges are browned and center is light brown, 20 to 22 minutes. Do not overbake. Cool completely before cutting into 24 bars.

- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Beat butter, brown sugar, white sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract together in a bowl using an electric mixer until light and fluffy. Stir flour, baking powder, cinnamon, salt, and nutmeg into creamed butter mixture until batter is just combined; fold in oats and 1 cup chocolate chips. Pour batter into a 9x12-inch baking pan; sprinkle with remaining 1/4 cup chocolate chips.
- Bake in the preheated oven until the top is dry and the edges have started to pull away from the sides of the pan, about 40 minutes.

This is a recipe from my childhood. I think it was my older sister who found the recipe. These taste great with a tall glass of milk. Makes your house smell wonderful while baking too.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Beat butter, sugars, eggs and vanilla until light and fluffy.
- Blend in flour, baking powder, salt, nutmeg and cinnamon.
- Stir in oatmeal and 1 cup of the chocolate chips.
- Spread into a 13 X 9 baking pan.
- Sprinkle on remaining chocolate chips.
- Bake for 30 minutes.
OATMEAL CHOCOLATE CHIP BROWNIES
Steps:
- 1. Preheat oven to 350*. 2. Beat butter, brown sugar and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla, again beating until light and fluffy. 3. Scrape the bowl and mix again to be sure butter, sugar and eggs are well-mixed in. 4. Blend in flour, baking powder, salt and cinnamon. 5. Stir in oatmeal and 6 oz of the chocolate chips. Scrape again and briefly mix to be sure all ingredients are incorporated. 6. Spread in an ungreased 13" x 9" pan, and sprinkle with the remaining 6 oz. of chocolate chips. 7. Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until lightly browned. Check after 20 minutes to be sure brownies do not overbake. When the edges are baked and brown and center is lightly brown but still look slightly underbaked, remove from the oven and cool in the pan on a wire rack. 8. When completely cool, cut into 24 brownies.

- 2. SPREAD BATTER INTO GREASED 8X8 INCH. PAN. BAKE AT 350* FOR 30 MINUTES..
FUDGY CHOCOLATE OATMEAL BROWNIES

Steps:
- Heat oven to 350. Set aside 2 T of butter. Beat remaining butter in lg bowl for 30 sec. Add brown sugar; beat until combined. Beat in eggs and 2 t vanilla. Stir together flour and baking soda in another lg bowl; stir in oats. Gradually stir in flour mixture into beaten mixture. Set aside. Combine reserved 2T butter, condensed milk and chocolate chips in med saucepan. Cook over low heat until chocolate melts, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat. Stir in 3/4 C of almonds and remaining 2 t vanilla. Press 2/3 (about 3-1/3 C) of the oat mixture into the bottom of an ungreased 15 x 10 x 1 jelly roll pan. Spread chocolate mixture over oat mixture. Using your fingers, dot remaining oats mixture over the chocolate. Sprinkle with remaining 1/4 C almonds. Bake about 25 min or until top is lightly browned-chocolate mixture will still look moist. Cool in pan on wire rack. Cut into 2 x 1 bars.
