BRAZILIAN LIMEADE
Steps:
- Combine the water and limes in a blender, in batches if necessary, and blend until totally smooth, about 2 minutes. Strain the lime mixture through a sieve and press on the solids until only the pulp remains.
- Pour the liquid into a pitcher and add the sweetened condensed milk to taste. Cover and refrigerate until cold. Serve in glasses over ice.
BRAZILIAN LIMEADE - LIKE RODIZIO
This is just like the limeade at Rodizio Grill, a brazilian restaurant here in Salt Lake City. It is very refreshing and tangy.

Steps:
- Slice 1 lime thinly to use as garnish on glass rims.
- Put any remaining, unused lime pieces, along with all other ingredients, into a blender.
- Add 4 cups water and blend, using the pulse function, until the limes are chopped, but not pureed. Be careful not to overblend as the pith from the lime rind will cause bitterness.
- Pour through a strainer into a pitcher or individual glasses. Add additional water to taste, if needed.
- Add ice cubes to pitcher or glasses and serve immediately.

BRAZILIAN LIMEADE
A friend gave us this recipe and it seems to have been sourced from allrecipes.com. Recipe for sweetened condensed coconut milk below (source: detoxinista.com). I used standard limes in the beverage although key limes would be interesting to try next summer...

Steps:
- 1. SWEETENED CONDENSED COCONUT MILK: Pour the coconut milk into a saucepan; heat over medium-high heat until boiling, about 5 minutes.
- 2. Watch this pot closely! Once the coconut milk starts to boil, it can bubble over quickly. Whisk regularly to prevent burning. Reduce the heat, bringing the coconut milk to a simmer, then add the sweetener, whisking until it's completely dissolved.
- 3. Allow to simmer for 30-45 minutes, or until the liquid is reduced by half. *Note (from original recipe source): "I don't recommend using low-fat or light coconut milk, since those versions are usually just coconut milk that's diluted with water to lower the fat content. You'll have to boil the coconut milk longer, and will have less condensed milk as a result- wasting your time and money. Use the full-fat stuff for best results!" Remove from the heat then set aside to cool completely before using in recipes. The mixture will thicken up as it cools.
- 4. LIMEADE: After washing the limes well, cut off the very ends and then slice into eight wedges.
- 5. Place the limes in a blender with the sugar (start with 2 tablespoons sugar-you can always add more later), sweetened condensed coconut milk, filtered water and crushed ice.
- 6. Blend well, pulsing 5 times (original recipe ); or as I did by blending for a full 1-2 minutes. To remove the lime rind pieces, strain through a fine mesh strainer and into a glass bowl. Serve immediately over ice cubes. Taste the limeade and if desired make corrections-does it need more condensed (coconut) milk, more sugar? Cover and refrigerate until later or serve immediately over ice cubes.
BRAZILIAN LIMEADE
The Baptist college I attended my freshman year had a special program where students from Brazil could come and study through a missions program. This is a recipe from Carolina, one of my best girlfriends. I love it because it's different from other limeade.
