Bacon Cheddar Beer Bread is a delicious no knead bread packed with crispy bacon and melty cheddar. Salty, savory, and slightly sweet bread in about an hour!

1 tablespoon cornmeal
3 cups flour
2 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
12 ounces beer (, room temperature)
1 cup sharp cheddar cheese (, shredded)
1/3 cup bacon (, cooked and crumbled)
2 tablespoons butter (, melted)

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 375 degrees.
  • Butter a 9x5 loaf pan and sprinkle with cornmeal.
  • Whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, sugar and beer in a large bowl.
  • Gently fold in shredded cheese and bacon crumbles with a spatula until just combined.
  • Place batter in the pan and let sit 20 minutes.
  • Bake for 35 minutes, then brush the butter on top of the bread and bake an additional 5 minutes.

Number Of Ingredients 9

1 - loaf - italian or french bread - sliced about 1 inch thick
6 - 7 slice(s) bacon, cooked crisp and chopped or crumbled
1 - small - med onion, chopped
1 1/2 cup(s) medium or sharp - shredded, cheddar cheese
1 cup(s) mayonnaise
2 tablespoon(s) worcestershire sauce
salt - & pepper to taste
1/2 - 3/4 cup(s) slivered almonds
dried - parsley

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400 degree F. In a medium bowl, mix well the 1 cup mayonnaise, bacon, onion, almonds, salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce and cheese.
  • Slice bread and spread each piece with some mixture. Place on a greased baking sheet. Sprinkle with dried parsley.
  • Bake for 10 - 15 minutes or until turning golden. Serve hot! Enjoy with a salad or just as is. Great as an appetizer too.

1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup crumbled cooked bacon
1 envelope onion soup mix
2 pounds ground beef
8 hamburger buns, split
Lettuce leaves and tomato slices, optional

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine the cheese, bacon and soup mix. Crumble beef over mixture and mix well. Shape into eight patties., Grill burgers, covered, over medium heat or broil 4 in. from the heat for 5-7 minutes on each side or until a thermometer reads 160° and juices run clear. Serve on buns with lettuce and tomato if desired.
