Apricot coconut treasures are delicious and easy to make. These bite-sized treats are perfect for parties, or as a sweet snack to satisfy your cravings. In this article, we will share valuable tips to help you make the best apricot coconut treasures recipes.

Ingredients

To make apricot coconut treasures, you need a few simple ingredients. You will need dried apricots, desiccated coconut, medjool dates, and coconut oil. Make sure you choose high-quality ingredients to ensure the best possible results.
Choosing the right apricots
When making apricot coconut treasures, it's important to choose the right kind of dried apricots. Look for apricots that are unsweetened and unsulfured. These apricots are naturally sweet, and they will not have been treated with chemicals that can affect the taste and texture of your treats.
Choosing the right dates
When selecting dates, it's best to use medjool dates. These dates are soft and plump, and they add a natural sweetness to your apricot coconut treasures. If you can't find medjool dates, you can substitute them with other varieties, but keep in mind that the texture and taste may be slightly different.
Choosing the right coconut oil
To make the best apricot coconut treasures, use high-quality coconut oil. Look for organic, virgin coconut oil that has not been refined or processed. This type of coconut oil has a natural, coconut flavor that will enhance the taste of your treats.
Choosing the right desiccated coconut
Desiccated coconut is simply dried, grated coconut. When choosing desiccated coconut, make sure you select unsweetened and unsulfured coconut flakes. These will have a pure, natural taste that will complement the other ingredients in your apricot coconut treasures.

Preparation

Preparing the ingredients and assembling the apricot coconut treasures is easy. Here are some tips to help you make the best treats possible.
Soaking apricots in hot water
Before you assemble your apricot coconut treasures, it's a good idea to soak your dried apricots in hot water for a few minutes. This will soften the apricots and make them easier to blend. Once you've soaked them, drain the water and pat the apricots dry with a paper towel.
Pureeing apricots and dates
To create the "dough" for your apricot coconut treasures, you will need to puree the soaked apricots and medjool dates together in a food processor. Be patient and pulse the mixture several times to make sure the ingredients are well combined. The mixture should be sticky and hold together when you pinch it between your fingers.
Adding coconut oil
Once you've pureed the apricots and dates, it's time to add the coconut oil. Melt the coconut oil in a saucepan over low heat, and then pour it into the food processor. Pulse the mixture a few more times until the coconut oil is evenly mixed in.
Rolling the dough into balls
To make your apricot coconut treasures, form the dough into small balls about the size of a tablespoon. Roll the balls in the desiccated coconut, making sure to coat them evenly. You can also add other ingredients, such as chopped nuts or cocoa powder, to the coating to add variety to your treats.

Storage and Serving

Apricot coconut treasures are best served chilled, so it's a good idea to store them in the refrigerator until ready to serve. They will keep for several days in an airtight container in the fridge, so you can make them ahead of time for your next party or event.
Freezing Options
If you'd like to make a large batch of apricot coconut treasures and save some for later, you can freeze them. Simply place the balls on a baking sheet and put them in the freezer for about an hour until they're firm. Then, transfer the balls to a freezer-safe container and store them in the freezer for up to three months.
Serving suggestions
Apricot coconut treasures make a great addition to any dessert table, but they can also be served as a sweet snack any time of day. They pair well with a cup of tea or coffee, and they're a healthier alternative to traditional cookies or candy. Try adding them to a cheese board or snack platter for a unique treat.

Conclusion

Apricot coconut treasures are a delicious and healthy treat that are perfect for any occasion. Whether you're hosting a party or just looking for a sweet snack, these treats are easy to make and always a hit. With the right ingredients and a little bit of patience, you can create your own apricot coconut treasures that everyone will love.
