3/4 cup shredded sharp Cheddar cheese (3 oz)
4 eggs
1/4 cup half-and-half
Dash white pepper

Steps:

  • Spray 9 1/2-inch deep-dish glass pie plate with cooking spray. Arrange bread cubes in bottom of pie plate. Spoon apples evenly over bread; sprinkle with ham and cheese.

1 lb. pork sausage, crumbled, cooked and drained
2 apples, cored, thinly sliced
3/4 lb. (12 oz.) HOFFMAN'S SUPER-SHARP Pasteurized Process Cheddar Cheese, cut into 12 slices
4 eggs
2 cups milk
1/8 tsp. ground black pepper
1/8 tsp. ground nutmeg
1/8 tsp. ground red pepper

Steps:

  • Place 6 of the bread slices in 13x9-inch baking pan sprayed with cooking spray. Cover with layers of half each of the sausage, apples and process cheese. Repeat layers.
  • Beat eggs, milk and seasonings with wire whisk until well blended. Pour over process cheese slices. Gently press remaining 6 bread slices into liquid to completely cover bread slices; cover. Refrigerate several hours or overnight.
