3 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
3 tablespoons white sugar
1 cup dry red wine
½ cup vegetable oil
⅓ cup granulated sugar for decoration

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • In a large bowl combine the flour, baking powder and sugar. Add the wine and oil. Mix with a large fork and then with your hands.

1 cup canola oil
1 cup white wine or dry red wine
2 teaspoons aniseed, crushed

  • Pre-heat oven to 400 degrees. In a large bowl mix the flour, baking powder and sugar, make a "well in the center" and pour the wine and oil in. Mix well. Roll pieces of the dough together to make a long 4 inch piece, about the size of your finger. Then turn it to look like a donut. Mix the last cup of sugar and cinnamon and place on a dish.
