ANGEL'S RICH AND BUTTERY PAN ROLLS (BREAD MACHINE)

Angel's Rich and Buttery Pan Rolls (Bread Machine) image

A rich and delicious fluffy roll with just the right amount of crust and an awesome taste! Try it with all ingredients called for, then if you have adjustments to make, by all means go ahead! Watch for the coloring on the rolls as you don't want to get them too dark! :) *Preparation time includes all steps except baking; depending on machine cycle length. Make SURE you grease your pan or they will stick, even on non-stick! Use 1 tsp salt as noted below if you are not on a salt restricted diet. Same recipe as used for my Recipe #348652

Valuable Tips for Making Perfect Angel Rolls Angel rolls, also known as angel biscuits, are a type of dinner roll that is light, fluffy, and slightly sweet. These rolls are perfect for any occasion and are especially great for special holiday dinners, family gatherings, or just a cozy night at home. If you are planning to make angel rolls for the first time, there are a few tips that you should keep in mind to ensure that your rolls turn out perfectly every time. 1. Measure Your Ingredients Accurately One of the most important things that you can do when making angel rolls is to measure your ingredients accurately. Even small discrepancies in the amount of flour, sugar, or other ingredients can cause your rolls to turn out dry or dense. Make sure that you use measuring cups and spoons that are often available in any kitchen store or grocery store. 2. Use Fresh Ingredients Using fresh ingredients while making angel rolls is extremely important. Be sure to check expiration dates of baking powder you will be using. This is because ingredients like baking powder can lose their effectiveness over time, which can negatively affect the rise and overall texture of your rolls. It is also recommended to use fresh milk and butter, that are main building blocks of your rolls. 3. Keep Your Ingredients Cold Another important tip when making angel rolls is to keep your ingredients cold. Warm ingredients can cause the butter in your dough to melt before it has a chance to create steam, which is what gives angel rolls their light and airy texture. In addition to keeping your butter and milk refrigerated when not in use, you can also chill your mixing bowl and utensils in the freezer for a few minutes before you begin making the dough. 4. Don't Overwork The Dough While it can be tempting to knead the angel roll dough until it is silky smooth, it is important to remember not to overwork the dough. Overworking the dough can cause the gluten to develop too much, which can prevent the rolls from rising properly. Once you have mixed in all of the ingredients, you should only knead the dough for a minute or two until it comes together into a soft, sticky ball. 5. Cut Your Rolls Close Together When cutting your angel roll dough into individual pieces, it is important to place them as close together as possible on your baking sheet. This helps the rolls to rise and expand into each other, which gives them their signature "pull-apart" texture. Be sure to leave a little bit of space between each roll to allow for expansion, but don't worry too much if they end up touching each other. 6. Brush With Butter To give your angel rolls a beautiful golden brown crust and a little bit of extra flavor, it is recommended to brush them with melted butter before baking. This will also keep them from drying out while they are in the oven. You can also sprinkle a little bit of salt or sugar on top of the rolls after brushing them with butter for added flavor. 7. Let Them Rest Before Baking Allowing the angel rolls to rest for a few minutes before baking is important, as this gives them time to rise one final time before they go into the oven. Once you have cut your dough into rolls, let them rest for about 10 minutes before brushing them with butter and baking them. This will give your rolls time to rise and become light and fluffy. 8. Use the Right Oven Temperature When it's time to bake your rolls, it is important to use the right oven temperature. Angel rolls should be baked at 400°F for about 15-20 minutes, or until they are golden brown on the outside and fully cooked on the inside. Be sure to preheat your oven before baking to ensure that the temperature is consistent from start to finish. 9. Serve Them Warm Angel rolls are best served warm, right out of the oven. They are perfect with a little bit of butter or jam, and are guaranteed to be a hit with your family and friends. If you are making the rolls ahead of time, you can reheat them in the oven or microwave before serving to keep them warm and fluffy. In conclusion, making angel rolls can be a fun and rewarding experience, especially if you keep these tips in mind. By measuring your ingredients accurately, using fresh ingredients, keeping your ingredients cold, not overworking the dough, cutting your rolls close together, brushing with butter, allowing them to rest before baking, using the right oven temperature, and serving them warm, you can make perfect angel rolls every time. So why not give it a try today and impress your loved ones with your new found baking skills.
