It is my understanding that there are a variety of recipes masquerading under this name, but this is the one that my friends like most. Overnight chilling not included in preparation time.

1 (18 1/4 ounce) package dark chocolate cake mix
1 1/3 cups water (or as directed in cake directions)
1/2 cup vegetable oil (or as directed in cake directions)
3 eggs (or as directed in cake directions)
1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
1 (8 -12 ounce) jar Mrs Richardson's caramel topping or 1 (8 -12 ounce) jar butterscotch topping
8 ounces whipped topping (Extra Creamy Dream Whip is good)
2 Heath candy bars, crushed (Skor bars or Nestle's Heath bits will also work, if you can find them)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Grease and lightly flour 13" x 9" cake pan.
  • Mix cake as directed on package.
  • Bake the cake about 35 minutes or until it tests done.
  • As soon as it comes out of the oven, poke holes all over it with a fork (I actually use a small diameter chop stick) and pour sweetened condensed milk evenly over the cake, followed by caramel sauce (microwaved about one minute until warm and easily pourable - I use only about 10 oz of the jar).
  • Refrigerate overnight.
  • Shortly before serving, spread whipped topping over cake and sprinkle with crushed Heath bars (or bits).
  • Enjoy.

10 1/4 ounces German chocolate cake mix
1 1/4 cups water
1/3 cup oil
3 eggs
1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
1 (16 ounce) jar caramel topping (OR butterscotch topping)
8 ounces Cool Whip
1 (8 ounce) bag toffee pieces (or bits)

Steps:

  • Pre-heat oven to 350.
  • Make and bake cake as directed on package in a 9 x 13 pan.
  • Poke top of warm cake every 1/2" with handle of wooden spoon.
  • Drizzle sweetened condensed milk evenly over cake and let stand until milk has absorbed into cake.
  • Drizzle with caramel or butterscotch topping.
  • Run knife around sides of pan to loosen cake.
  • Cover and refrigerate about 2 hours or until cake has chilled.
  • Spread cool whip over top of cake.
  • Sprinkle with toffee chips.
  • Store cake covered, in the refrigerator.

This sinful cake has been lightened up for maximum deliciousness and minimum calories. I calculated it at 4 points+ per serving when you cut it into 24 servings.

1 (12 ounce) can Diet Coke
1 (18 ounce) box devil's food cake mix
1 egg white
6 ounces fat free caramel topping
7 ounces fat-free condensed milk
1 english toffee-flavored candy bar, chopped
8 ounces fat-free whipped topping

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375.
  • Mix cake mix, egg white, and diet soda. Bake for 35 minutes in a greased 9x13 pan.
  • During the last few minutes of baking, put the caramel and condensed milk in a saucepan on low heat until smooth.
  • After baking, remove cake from oven and pour caramel over top. Sprinkle half the heath bar on top.
  • Cool completely. Cover with whipped topping and remaining heath bar bits.

1 (18 ounce) box yellow cake mix
3 eggs (or as called for by your cake mix)
1/3 cup oil (or as called for by your cake mix)
1 1/3 cups water (or as called for by your cake mix)
1 (20 ounce) can crushed pineapple
1 cup sugar
2 (3 1/2 ounce) packages instant vanilla pudding
1 (18 ounce) carton whipped topping
1 cup coconut (more if you like)

Steps:

  • Prepare and bake cake by directions on box. Cool.
  • In a saucepan, bring to a boil the can of pineapple and the sugar; boil until sugar is dissolved, stirring.
  • Poke holes in cake with a fork and spread this mixture over top of cake.
  • Refrigerate for a couple of hours.
  • Then prepare pudding by box directions.
  • Spread pudding over the top of first topping.
  • Cover with foil and refrigerate over night.
  • At serving time, spread on the whipped topping and sprinkle with the coconut.
  • ENJOY!

18 ounces lemon cake mix
10 ounces diet Sprite
1 egg white
1/3 ounce sugar-free lemon gelatin
7 ounces fat-free sweetened condensed milk
8 ounces Cool Whip Free
2 teaspoons lemon extract

Steps:

  • Mix Lemon cake mix, egg white and diet soda.
  • Grease a 9x13 pan with non-stick spray. Pour cake batter into pan. Bake at 375 degrees for 35 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
  • During the last few minutes of baking, put lemon jello and condensed milk in a sauce pan and stir on medium low heat until smooth.
  • Take cake out of oven and poke holes all over the top. Pour jello mix over warm cake, filling in the holes. Cool completely.
  • Mix 2 tsp lemon extract with cool whip. cover cake with cool whip mix.
  • Place cake in refridgerator until ready to serve.
