4 wonton wrappers
1 apple, sliced and peeled
1 dash cinnamon
1/2 tablespoon sugar (to taste)
3 ounces cream cheese, room temp
cooking spray
powdered sugar (optional)

Steps:

  • Spray cooking spray on a cookie sheet then place wrappers on tray. (you may sprinkle sugar on the wrappers if you wish).
  • Broil 4 inches from heat until SLIGHTLY brown (watch VERY carefully).
  • Remove from oven and flip wrappers over and broil again until slightly brown.
  • Microwave apples with a splash of water and sugar and cinnamon for a minute or so, or until very soft.
  • Drain apples and let cool sightly (I'm guilty of throwing them in the freezer to speed up the process sometimes) then combine with cream cheese.
  • Layer a wrapper then apple mixture then wonton wrapper then apple mixture until all is used up finishing with apple mixture on top.
  • Sprinkle with powdered sugar is desired, and chill in fridge if not eaten right away.

2 apples, peeled and diced
2 tablespoons white sugar
1 ½ tablespoons ground cinnamon, divided, or more to taste
1 tablespoon melted butter
1 egg white
20 wonton wrappers

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Combine apples, sugar, 1 tablespoon cinnamon, and butter in a bowl.
  • Wet all edges of wonton wrappers with water. Place 1 tablespoon of apple mixture in center of each wonton. Fold all 4 corners of wonton to the middle. Squeeze together.
  • Brush egg white onto the wonton wrappers and sprinkle with remaining cinnamon. Place wontons on a baking sheet.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until golden brown, about 15 minutes.

2 medium apples, McIntosh, peeled, cored and minced
1 tablespoon packed light brown sugar
1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
24 wonton wrappers
1 1/2 tablespoons powdered sugar

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350ºF. Coat a large baking sheet with butter flavored cooking spray.
  • In a medium bowl, combine apples, brown sugar, lemon juice and cinnamon; toss to coat apples.
  • Place wonton wrappers on a flat surface. Drop apple mixture by teaspoonfuls onto center of each wrapper. Moisten edges of wrapper with wet fingers, fold over one corner to make a triangle and press sides together to seal. Transfer filled wrappers to prepared baking sheet and coat surface with cooking spray.
  • Bake until wontons are golden brown, about 15 minutes. Place wontons on individual plates and sift with powdered sugar. Serve with ice cream on the side.

Apple Pie Wontons in the Air Fryer are my new favorite dessert! Just a handful of ingredients make this apple and caramel sweet treat.

1 package Wonton wrappers
1 can Apple pie filling ((15 ounces))
1/2 cup of sugar
1 teaspoon of cinnamon
Spray oil
Caramel sauce
Powdered sugar ((for garnish))

Steps:

  • Stir the apple pie filling, sugar and cinnamon in a bowl.
  • Lay the Wonton wrappers out on flat surface close to the air fryer.
  • Place 1 1/2 teaspoons of the filling in the middle of the wonton wrapper.
  • Place a dollop of caramel sauce on top of the filling.
  • Dip a teaspoon in the caramel sauce and using the back of the spoon, run it around the edges of the wonton wrapper.
  • Pull the 4 edges of the wrapper up in a little bunch and pinch together to secure the wonton.
  • Place in the air fryer and when the it's full, spray with the spray oil, coating the wonton's.
  • Close the air fryer and set the time for 7 minutes, and the temperature at 350 degrees.
  • When the wonton's have finished cooking, remove them from the air fryer basket and place on a plate.
  • Continue until you've finished all the wonton's needed.
  • Drizzle the wonton's with caramel sauce and sprinkle generously with powdered sugar before serving.
