WISCONSIN MAPLE AND CLOVER HONEY GLAZED HAM
I snagged this recipe from an ad in a magazine from the doctor's office last month!! I knew with Easter coming, I most likely would have to cook SOMEONE a ham...LOL. Our ham was small so I cut the recipe in half and it was more than enough

CROCK POT MAPLE HAM
This is like a poor man's maple glazed ham. We love the spiral sliced maple/honey glazed hams, but they are soooo expensive. This is a great way to make one without spending a fortune.

MAPLE-GLAZED HAM
I cook this ham for Christmas and for Easter, but my husband thinks that twice a year is not enough. If it were up to him, we'd eat this every day! When I have larger hams, I double the glaze. If any glaze is left, we use it on pancakes the next day. -Jeanie Beasley, Tupelo, Mississippi

Steps:
- Preheat the oven to 250 or if pressed for time 300.
- Remove the rind from the ham and most of the fat if there in a lot. I always score the ham - cut it diagonally so you get the pretty diamonds. Put a clove in the center of each diamond. Place ham in a baking pan lined with aluminum foil - eliminates that nasty clean up later.
- In a small bowl, combine mustard, brown sugar and honey. Pour glaze over the ham and press into the cuts. Using toothpicks, secure slices of pineapple to the ham with a cherry in the middle of each ring.
- Bake the ham from 4 hours to all day. Baste every 30 minute with equal parts wine and ginger ale, or ginger ale only. Later in the cooking process use the pan juices for basting.
- Remove from the oven and let ham stand for 30 minutes before carving. Enjoy!

CHEF JOHN'S HONEY-GLAZED HAM
A great holiday ham glaze needs to have three things: wonderful flavor, gorgeous, shiny appearance, and a crispy, crackling crust you can hear across the room. I'm happy to report this easy-to-make glaze has all those things in abundance.

- Pour water, star anise, and cloves into the bottom of a roasting pan. Place a roasting rack into the pan over the water, anise, and cloves; place ham on rack. Cut 1/4-inch deep slashes 1/2-inch apart lengthwise and crosswise across the top of the entire ham.
- Bake ham in the preheated oven for 20 minutes. Whisk brown sugar, honey, mustard, vinegar, black pepper, Worcestershire sauce, and cayenne pepper together in a bowl until glaze has a thick, smooth consistency.

- Use a kitchen torch to heat the glaze on the ham until it is crispy and caramelized, 2 to 5 minutes.
