Watermelon cooler-lemonade is a light and refreshing summer drink.

1 watermelon, cut into bite-size pieces
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 teaspoons ginger juice
1 pinch white sugar, or to taste
½ teaspoon black salt
1 pinch ground black pepper
3 cups cold water
1 cup ice cubes
1 tablespoon mint leaves, or more to taste

Steps:

  • Place watermelon, lemon juice, ginger juice, sugar, salt, and black pepper in a blender; blend until smooth. Pour mixture through a fine mesh strainer to strain the pulp from the juice.
  • Pour juice back into the blender; add cold water and ice and blend. Pour lemonade into glasses and stir gently; garnish with mint leaves.

8 cups cubed seeded watermelon
3 cups hulled and quartered strawberries
2 (12 ounce) cans frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed
8 cups water
wedges of fresh watermelon (optional)
whole hulled strawberry (optional)

Steps:

  • In blender, combine half of the watermelon, strawberries, and lemonade concentrate. Cover and blend until smooth. Move to a serving container. Repeat with remaining. Add water; chill up to 2 days.
  • Serve over ice with watermelon wedges and strawberries.
  • Makes 12 servings.
  • Make-Ahead.
  • Make up to 2 days ahead; cover and refrigerate. To serve, stir and add berries and watermelon wedges.
