How to Make Whipped Coffee (Dalgona Coffee) image

Whipped Coffee (Dalgona Coffee) is the BEST thing ever! It's a fluffy and incredibly delicious way to make your morning coffee, and takes only 5 minutes with a hand mixer! You can make it hot or cold!

2 tablespoons instant coffee
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
2 tablespoons boiling water
a pinch of cinnamon (optional)
1 cup milk of choice (I've tried it with soy milk, almond and oat milk)

Steps:

  • Add all the coffee, sugar and boiling water in a bowl (you can easily double or triple this recipe). Using a hand mixer or stand mixer and whip on one of the higher speeds.
  • Whip the entire mixture for about 2 minutes. Scrape down the sides and whip any bits that didn't get whipped.
  • Taste (it'll be very strong! But of course diluted with your milk) and add more sugar IF desired. I've seen some people add another tablespoon of sugar, but it was fine for me. Remember it'll be diluted with the milk!
  • Add the coffee to a tall glass (about 8 ounces/1 cup) of your favourite milk. I've tried it with soy milk, almond and oat milk. If you're doing iced, add a few ice cubes, then the milk, then spoon the whipped coffee on top. If using hot, just add it to the glass.
  • Using your spoon or straw, stir vigorously to swirl it into your milk.

I'm obsessed with whipped coffee. With the lockdown in place due to the Coronavirus and so much time on my hands, I have been trying different ways to flavor this coffee. I sit and sip on this while playing games with hubby and letting time go by slowly.

1 cup milk
1 tablespoon powdered peanut butter (such as PB2®)
1 tablespoon sugar-free peanut butter-flavored syrup (such as Torani®)
ice
¼ cup boiling water
1 tablespoon instant coffee granules
1 tablespoon white sugar

Steps:

  • Mix milk, peanut butter powder, and peanut butter syrup in a bowl, stirring until peanut butter powder is dissolved. Fill a large glass with ice. Pour in the milk mixture.
  • Combine boiling water, coffee granules, and sugar in a tall container. Whip with an immersion blender or a hand mixer until foamy, about 2 minutes. Pour coffee foam over the milk mixture.

1 cup coconut milk beverage (such as Silk®)
1 banana
1 (1 gram) packet stevia sweetener
ice cubes
¼ cup boiling water
1 tablespoon instant coffee granules
1 tablespoon white sugar

Steps:

  • Combine coconut milk beverage, banana, and sweetener in a blender; blend until smooth. Fill a large glass with ice and pour pureed banana milk on top.
  • Combine boiling water, coffee granules, and sugar in a tall container. Whip with an immersion blender or a hand mixer until foamy, about 2 minutes. Pour coffee foam over the banana milk.
