4 English breakfast tea bags
1 tea kettle filled with boiling water
1 cup Simple Syrup, recipe follows
1 cup lemon juice
1 lemon, zest
2 cups ice cubes
1 cup sugar
1 cup water

Steps:

  • Tie the tea bags together attach to the handle of a large pitcher. Pour the hot water over the tea bags and into the pitcher. Set aside to steep for 5 minutes.
  • Lemonade: To a blender, add the Simple Syrup, lemon juice, lemon zest and ice cubes and pulse to puree. Place the mixture into the freezer until the tea has finished steeping. Add ice cubes to a large glass and top with the tea. Using an ice cream scoop, scoop the "lemonade" into the glass.
  • Add the sugar and water to a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil and allow to simmer until the sugar has dissolved. Remove from the heat and set aside to cool completely.

For the Lemonade:
2 ounces simple syrup
4 ounces water
2 ounces fresh lemon juice
For the Cocktail:
2 ounces vodka
2 to 3 ounces lemonade
2 to 3 ounces iced tea
Garnish: lemon wheel
Garnish: mint sprig

Steps:

  • Gather the ingredients.
  • In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, pour the simple syrup and water. Add the lemon juice, straining it through a fine-mesh strainer if you want to remove the pulp and seeds.
  • Shake well .
  • Strain into a tall glass . You should have about 8 ounces of lemonade, enough for 3 or 4 spiked Arnold Palmers. Keep the excess covered in the refrigerator until needed.
  • In a highball glass filled with ice, pour the vodka.
  • Top with equal parts of iced tea and lemonade.
  • Stir well .
  • Garnish with a lemon wheel and mint sprig. Serve and enjoy.

8 orange pekoe tea bags
1 cup sugar
1 cup fresh lemon juice (from 6 to 8 lemons), plus lemon slices for garnish
1 1/2 cups vodka
Fresh mint, for garnish

Steps:

  • Put the tea bags in a large heatproof pitcher and pour in 5 cups boiling water. Let steep about 10 minutes. Discard the tea bags.
  • Pour half of the tea into ice cube trays and freeze until firm, 3 hours. Refrigerate the rest.
  • Make a simple syrup: Heat 1 cup water and the sugar in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring, until the sugar dissolves. Let cool.
  • Stir 1 cup of the simple syrup, the lemon juice, 5 cups cold water and the vodka into the pitcher of chilled tea. Add the tea ice cubes.
  • Pour the drink into glasses. Garnish with lemon slices and mint.

1 cup butter, softened
2 cups sugar
3 large eggs, room temperature
1 tablespoon grated lemon zest
2 teaspoons lemon juice
3-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups sour cream
ICED TEA FROSTING:
9 tablespoons butter, softened
6-3/4 cups confectioners' sugar
3/4 cup 2% milk
3/4 cup iced tea mix with lemon and sugar

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy, 5-7 minutes. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in lemon zest and lemon juice. Combine the flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt; add to creamed mixture alternately with sour cream, beating well after each addition (batter will be thick). , Fill 30 lined muffin cups with 1/4 cup batter. Bake at 350° until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, 25-30 minutes. Cool 10 minutes before removing from pans to wire racks to cool completely., For frosting, combine butter and confectioners' sugar in a small bowl until light and fluffy. In another small bowl, stir together milk and iced tea mix until dissolved. Add to butter mixture; beat until smooth. Frost cupcakes.
