1 pound ground beef
1 pinch salt and ground black pepper to taste
1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
1 (16 ounce) package frozen tater tots

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Cook and stir ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat until no longer pink and completely browned, 7 to 10 minutes; season with salt and black pepper. Stir cream of mushroom soup into the cooked ground beef; pour the mixture into a 9x13-inch baking dish. Layer tater tots evenly over the ground beef mixture; top with Cheddar cheese.
  • Bake until tater tots are golden brown and hot, 30 to 45 minutes.

I have been making this recipe since I was little and entered it in the food show for 4-H. It is similar to other recipes on here, but you do not cook your beef first.

2 lbs ground beef
salt
pepper
onion powder
garlic powder
1 package , tator tots or 1 package crispy crown potato
1 (10 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup (can use 2 if you want it soupy)
1 cup cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • Season ground beef with salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder to taste. Press in bottom of 13x9 baking dish.
  • Layer tator tots or crispy crowns over beef. You may not need to use the whole package to make a single layer of potato. Sprinkle onion powder over potatoes.
  • Spread cream of mushroom over potatoes.
  • Bake at 350 for 30-45 minutes. Add cheese and bake for 5-10 more minutes.

5 lb tater tots
2 lb ground beef
1 large onion chopped
1 lb tub of sour cream
2 pkg brown gravy
water for gravy pks
2-3 c shredded cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • 1. i use 2 of the 9X13 baking dishes for the tater tots...in a 400 oven.. cook till crispy turning them over in the oven. (no worries if they break up a little cause they gonna do worse later)
  • 2. In large Dutch oven,(while taters are baking) brown ground beef with onions drain grease. then add the water for the gravy to the meat (on back of package around 1 1/2 for each package) and blend the gravy mix in the 1 cup cool water then add to the meat meat while it boils. then add your sour cream to the meat gravy mix. when tater tots are crispy, mix the meat into the tots and mix well, then cover with cheese and return to the oven till cheese melts.

- 1 bag of tater tots or crispy crown potatoes
- 1 jar of cheez whiz
- med. jar of ortega taco sauce, your hot level. i do half mild and half medium.
- 1 lb. hamburger, cooked, crumbled and drained.

Steps:

  • Brown and season the hamburger and drain. Stir in cheez whiz while hot.
  • Put the cheezy hamburger in large bowl. Add taters and taco sauce. Mix well.
  • Pour into good sized covered casserole dish and bake@ 400 degrees for 45 minutes. Remove cover and bake another 15 minutes. Serves 4-6 people

Between 1.5 - 2 lbs. extra-lean ground beef
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 soup can of milk
1 can green beans
1 bag of frozen TaterTots

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. In an ungreased 9x13 baking pan, press the uncooked ground beef into the bottom of the pan, covering the bottom completely. In a mixing bowl, combine the soup and milk and stir until lumps are gone. Drain green beans and add to soup mixture. Pour the soup/bean mixture into the pan over ground beef and spread evenly. Completely cover the top of mixture with TaterTots. Do not just dump them in - you have to line them up one by one in order to create a complete cover. (In normal cases, there should only be 5 to 6 tots left over.) This sounds stupid, but it is important to the baking process. Bake uncovered for approximately 45 minutes. Allow to cool a bit, and then dig in!
