SYMPHONY CANDY BAR BROWNIES

Number Of Ingredients 3

1 box of brownie mix for 9x13" pan (or your own homemade brownie recipe)
Ingredients called for on brownie mix
3 large (4.25 oz each) Symphony candy bars with almonds and toffee chips

Steps:

  • Mix the brownies according to box directions. Spray a 9x13" pan with non-stick cooking spray.
  • Pour 1/2 the brownie mix into the pan (it won't seem like very much!).
  • Unwrap the 3 candy bars and place side by side on top of the batter in the pan. Don?t break or chop up the candy bars ? they will be whole.
  • Pour the remainder of the brownie mix over the top.
  • Bake according to directions on the brownie box. Let cool, cut, and serve.

A "chocoholic's" dream come true. I was looking through the brownies on the 'Zaar' this morning and found ONLY 232; so I decided to add two more that are a bit different (this and Bourbon Brownies). Hope you enjoy.

1 (19 7/8 ounce) box Betty Crocker fudge brownie mix
2 large eggs
1/4 cup water
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 (7 ounce) hershey symphony milk chocolate candy bars

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees, or 325 degrees for glass baking dish.
  • Lightly grease the bottom only of an 11 x 7 inch baking pan; set aside.
  • In a large mixing bowl prepare brownie mix according to directions on the package, using 2 eggs, 1/4 cup water and 1/2 cup oil.
  • Stir until smooth.
  • Spread half the batter evenly into prepared pan.
  • Unwrap candy bars and place them on top of the batter.
  • Top with remaining brownie batter.
  • Bake 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near center comes out with only a few moist crumbs clinging to it.
  • Remove pan from oven and let cool on wire rack before cutting into squares or other shapes.

These brownies are not the most attractive ones I've ever made...I wasn't going to post this recipe for that reason, but what they lack in looks, they make up for in flavor...my daughter says they're quite addictive.I found the recipe in my local paper...enjoy! My photos

1 - 19.9 oz package of fudge brownie mix
1/2 c vegetable oil
1/4 c water
3 eggs
3 - 4.25 oz hershey symphony bars

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350 degree F. Line 9x13 inch baking pan with aluminum foil, allowing at least 1 inch excess on each 9 inch side. Lightly grease bottom only.
  • 2. In a large bowl, combine brownie mix, eggs, water and oil. Using a spatula; mix well, do not beat.
  • 3. Spread 1/2 the batter evenly into prepared pan. Arrange candy bars in single layer, with space between each bar, crosswise on top of batter. Do not let candy bars touch side of pan.
  • 4. Carefully spoon remaining brownie batter over candy bars to edges of pan. Bake 40 minutes or until toothpick inserted near center comes out with only a few moist crumbs on it.
  • 5. Remove pan from oven. Let cool on wire rack. Using edges of foil as handles, remove to cutting board. Cut into squares. Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream if desired.

1 Large (7 oz)Symphony Chocolate Bar with Almonds and Toffee Chips

Steps:

  • Prepare Brownie Mix according to package directions. Spread 1/2 of the batter in a 9x9" or 8x8" pan. Break up or chop the chocolate bar and sprinkle over the batter. Spread the remaining batter in the pan and bake according to package directions or until it tests done. (Usually takes 5-10 additional minutes. Cool and cut into squares.
