These delicious nuts are such a sweet crunchy treat. Great for parties or late night munchies. Makes enough to keep a bit around for another day :)

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 250 degrees.
- In a large bowl, mix together everything but nuts.
- Add the nuts and stir until coated well.
- Spread evenly onto a greased cookie sheet or baking pan.
- Bake for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes or so.
- Spread out on waxed paper to cool.
- Store in a zipper bag or airtight container.

- Preheat crock pot on high for 15 minutes.
- In preheated crock pot stir the nuts and butter until mixed well.
- Add the powdered sugar, stirring to coat evenly. Cover and slow-cook on HIGH for 15 minutes.
- Reduce the heat to LOW and slow cook, uncovered, stirring occasionally, until the nuts are coated with a crisp glaze (should be about 2 hours).
- Transfer the nuts to a bowl.
- In another small bowl, combine the spices and sift them over the nuts, stirring to coat evenly. Let cool before serving.

- Preheat oven to 250°F.
- Whisk together egg white and water in a large bowl until frothy and stir in nuts. Stir together sugar and cinnamon and stir into nuts, coating well. Spread nuts in a lightly buttered large shallow pan and bake in middle of oven until dry, about 50 minutes. Cool and break into bite-size chunks.
FESTIVE GREEN SALAD AND SUGARED NUTS
A festive green salad for special occasions. This salad can also be made with fresh strawberries (when in season) in place of the cranberries. The dressing makes enough for many salads. The sugared nuts recipe for the salad follows the salad dressing recipe.

Steps:
- For the salad: Use bagged spring greens and sprinkle crumbled feta cheese, craisins and sugared nuts (almonds, pecans, walnuts or cashews). You can also use honey roasted nuts, or smoked almonds.
- For the sugared nuts: Heat oven to 325.
- Combine sugar, cinnamon and salt in a small bowl.
- Place egg white in a separate bowl and beat at high speed of electric beater till soft peeks form.
- Continue beating, adding sugar mixture gradually till stiff peaks form. Gently stir in nuts by hand.
- Line a 9x13 pan with heavy duty tin foil. Melt the butter in the oven in the foil lined pan.
- Spread the nut mixture evenly over the butter.
- Bake stirring about every 10 minutes till nuts are browned, and no butter remains (about 25 minutes)
- Cool completely; then store in airtight container.

- Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Heat water and 1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons sugar in a saucepan over medium-high heat, whisking until sugar has dissolved. Let cool.
- Place almonds and pine nuts in a bowl. Add 2 tablespoons syrup, and toss. Add remaining 1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons sugar and the salt, and toss. Spread in a single layer on a parchment-lined rimmed baking sheet. Bake, stirring occasionally, until golden brown, about 20 minutes. Let cool completely on sheet.
