What a wonderfully refreshing and delicious drink - made with fresh strawberries. This is healthy and nutritious and the teenage boys that come to my house can't stop at just one glass.

1 cup ice water
16 strawberries
1/2 cup frozen limeade concentrate
1 teaspoon artificial sweetener

Steps:

  • Fill 1 cup measuring cup with ice and then water to make one cup.
  • Blend in a blender or food processor and pulse until crushed.
  • Add the strawberries, sweetener and limeade. Puree until smooth and thick.

2 (16 ounce) containers fresh strawberries
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 cups water
1 1/2 cups fresh lemon juice (about 6 to 8 lemons)
4 cups ice cubes

Steps:

  • Stir strawberries and sugar together and let stand 30 minutes.
  • Process half of strawberries, 1 cup water, 3/4 cup lemon juice and 2 cups ice cubes in a blender until smooth. Repeat with remaining ingredients.
  • Serve immediately.

2 liters lemon-lime flavored soda, chilled
lime slice (to garnish)

Steps:

  • Combine water, sugar, and limeade until sugar is dissolved.
  • Cover and freezer.
  • Chop up and pour pop over.
  • Garnish with lime slices.

8 cups strawberries, fresh
3 cups ice, crushed
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1/4 cup lime juice

Steps:

  • Remove and discard caps from strawberries.
  • Place ice and half of strawberries in blender or food processor.
  • Cover and blend on high speed about 30 seconds, stopping blender occasionally to scrap sides, until almost smooth.
  • Pour into 2 quart pitcher.
  • Place remaining stgrawberries, powdered sugar, and lime juice in blender or food processor.
  • Cover and blend on high speed about 30 seconds or until almost smooth.
  • Pour mixture into pitcher; stir.
  • Pour into glasses.
  • Serve immediately.

2 cups water
1/2 cup sugar
2 slices lime zest (3 inch)
3 tablespoons lime juice
5 1/2 cups strawberries

Steps:

  • In a saucepan over medium heat combine first 3 ingredients (water to zest) and bring to a boil, stirring to dissolve sugar. Reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool 5 minutes. Discard zest and stir in lime juice.
  • Puree 1 cup of the syrup with 3 1/2 cups of strawberries in food processor or blender. Stir mixture into remaining syrup. Pour mixture through a sieve into a medium bowl and discard solids. Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours or overnight.
  • Transfer mixture to ice cream maker and process following manufacturer's directions and then transfer sorbet to freezer container and freeze until firm (2-6 hours).
  • To serve, slice remaining strawberries and scoop sorbet into 8 dessert dishes and top with sliced strawberries.
