Take a simple pound of ground beef and a few spices and turn it into this richly flavored and easy Korean ground beef in under 30 minutes! A perfect fast weeknight meal everyone will enjoy.

1 lb ground beef
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 teaspoon sesame oil
1 tablespoon mirin
1 tablespoon water
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
1/8 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon sriracha
2 cups rice, cooked
1 tablespoon sesame seeds
3 green onions, diced

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, combine the garlic powder, brown sugar, soy sauce, sesame oil, ground ginger, mirin, water, red pepper flakes, and black pepper and whisk to combine and set aside;
  • Heat a large cast-iron skillet and add ground beef then cook on medium-high heat, stirring occasionally, for 6-7 minutes or until beef is no longer pink,
  • Pour sauce mixture over ground beef and stir to combine then cook for an additional 2-3 minutes;
  • If adding sriracha, add now and mix to combine;
  • Garnish with sesame seeds and diced green onions;
  • Serve over rice with additional sriracha or sliced jalapenos if desired.

500 gram of Thin Sliced Beef Belly or Beef Brisket
1 tablespoon of sesame oil
2 teaspoon of gochujang paste
5 tablespoon of soy sauce
1 tablespoon of Vinegar
1 tablespoon of brown sugar
4 to 5 pieces of green chillies
1 chopped medium onion
4 chopped or grind cloves of garlic
3 tablespoon of vegetable oil

Steps:

  • Combine the gochujang paste, soy sauce, vinegar, grind/chopped garlic, sesame oil, and sugar in a small bowl and mix them.
  • Transfer the sauce mixture into the beef in a large bowl. Use your hand or spoon to mix it well.
  • Let it marinate for 30 minutes to 1 hour for better flavor (Optional)
  • Add vegetable oil in the pan in medium heat. Wait till it become hot.
  • Add chopped onion in the pan. Stir it for few minutes or till it become light brown.
  • Add chopped green chillies and give it a quick stir for a minute. After that, add the thinly sliced beef and give it a quick stir.
  • Stir fry them for 5 minutes or till the beef become fully cooked.

450 grams Rib eye/rump steaks
1 Carrot
½ Large sweet onion
1-2 Chillies red/green
4-5 Spring Onions
2-3 Garlic cloves
2 Tbsp Oil
Sesame seeds for garnish
1 Tsp Garlic paste
1 Tsp Sweet onion paste
1 Tbsp Soy Sauce
1 Tbsp Gochujang
1 Tsp Potato/corn starch
¼ Tsp Baking soda
2 Tbsp Oyster Sauce
2 Tbsp Soy Sauce
1 Tbsp Gochujang
1 Tsp Lemon Juice
½ Tbsp Mirin
1 Tsp Sugar
½ Tsp Salt

Steps:

  • Slice the steak into thin strips. Put the sliced beef into a mixing bowl and add garlic paste, onion paste, soy sauce, gochujang, potato starch and baking soda.
  • Mix all the ingredients and beef together well. Make sure each slices of beef is coated well and marinate for at least 30 mins.
  • Cut the garlic, onion and spring onions into thin slices. Julienne the carrot.
  • Prepare the stir-fry sauce by mixing oyster sauce, soy sauce, gochujang, lemon juice, mirin, sugar and salt in a bowl.
  • Heat the pan into high heat, add the garlic slices and stir for few seconds.
  • Add the marinated beef, flatten and spread the beef in the pan. Let it cook the beef for 2/3 mins till the beef get nice color and turn side and cook for another 2/3 minutes.
  • Add the onions and carrots, stir for few seconds and add the chillies follow by stir-fry sauce.
  • Allow to simmer for a minute. Add spring onion slices. Mix all the ingredients well with the sauce until well combined.
  • Serve with a bowl of steamed rice. Sprinkle some tosted sesame seed on top.

1/4 cup reduced sodium soy sauce
2 teaspoons sesame oil
1/2 teaspoon crushed red-pepper flakes, or more to taste
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 pound ground beef
2 green onions, thinly sliced
1/4 teaspoon sesame seeds

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, whisk together brown sugar, soy sauce, sesame oil, red pepper flakes and ginger. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium high heat. Add garlic and cook, stirring constantly, until fragrant, about 1 minute. Add ground beef and cook until browned, about 3-5 minutes, making sure to crumble the beef as it cooks; drain excess fat. 3 garlic cloves, minced
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup reduced-sodium soy sauce

2-2/3 cups hot cooked brown rice
