1 pound ground turkey
1/2 cup crumbled reduced-fat feta cheese
2 teaspoons McCormick® Oregano Leaves, crushed
1/2 teaspoon McCormick® Thyme Leaves
1/2 teaspoon McCormick® Ground Black Pepper
2 teaspoons olive oil
1/4 cup reduced-fat plain yogurt
McCormick® Ground Cumin
McCormick® Sea Salt from Sea Salt Grinder
Additional McCormick® Ground Black Pepper
4 whole wheat hamburger buns, split and toasted
Leaf lettuce, tomato and cucumber slices, optional

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine the turkey, feta, oregano, thyme and 1/2 teaspoon pepper. Shape into four patties., In a nonstick skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Add patties; cook for 4-5 minutes on each side or until no longer pink and a thermometer reads 165°., In bowl, season yogurt to taste with cumin, sea salt and additional pepper. Serve burgers on buns. Top each burger with yogurt mixture. Garnish with lettuce, tomato and cucumber if desired.

1/2 cup fat-free plain yogurt
1/2 cup chopped cucumber
2 teaspoons chopped fresh mint leaves
1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
1 box (9 oz) frozen chopped spinach
1 1/4 lb lean (at least 93%) ground turkey
1/4 cup fat-free plain yogurt
1 teaspoon dried oregano leaves, crushed
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
5 thin slices medium tomato, halved
5 whole-grain pita bread halves (6 inch)

Steps:

  • Set oven control to broil. In medium bowl, mix Cucumber Sauce ingredients; cover and refrigerate until ready to use.
  • Cook spinach as directed on box; cool slightly. Squeeze to drain well. In large bowl, mix cooled spinach, turkey, 1/4 cup yogurt, the oregano, garlic salt and pepper. Shape into 5 oval patties, each about 1/2 inch thick. On broiler pan, place patties. Broil with tops about 5 inches from heat 10 to 12 minutes, turning once, until thermometer inserted in center of burgers reads 165°F.
  • Place 2 tomato slice halves in pita pocket halves; place burgers over tomato slices. To serve, top each burger with about 3 tablespoons sauce.

1 pound 93% lean ground turkey
½ cup crumbled feta cheese
½ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon dried oregano

4 small hamburger buns, preferably whole-wheat, split
4 tablespoons tzatziki
12 slices cucumber
8 thick rings red onion (about 1/4-inch)

Steps:

  • Preheat grill to medium-high. Squeeze excess moisture from spinach. Combine the spinach with turkey, feta, garlic powder, oregano, salt and pepper in a medium bowl; mix well. Form into four 4-inch patties. Oil the grill rack (see Tip). Grill the patties until cooked through and no longer pink in the center, 4 to 6 minutes per side. 1 1/4 lbs lean ground turkey
1/4 cup finely chopped shallot
1 tablespoon chopped fresh oregano
1 teaspoon chopped fresh oregano
1 teaspoon garlic pepper seasoning
1/2 cup plain yogurt
1 tablespoon light mayonnaise
1/2 cup finely chopped seeded cucumber, well drained
5 whole wheat hamburger buns
1/2 cup chopped red onion
2 1/2 cups alfalfa sprouts

Steps:

  • Prepare sauce by blending yogurt, mayo, cucumber and 1 tsp of the oregano in a small bowl. Season with salt and pepper to taste and chill until ready to serve.
  • Combine ground turkey, shallots, 1 tablespoon oregano and garlic pepper in medium bowl; toss lightly with fork to mix.
  • Form into 5 patties. Cover and refrigerate.
  • Pre-heat grill to medium direct heat.

1 tablespoon olive oil
4 reserved turkey burgers
1 teaspoon allspice
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 cup lowfat plain yogurt
1/4 cup grated cucumber
1 teaspoon garlic powder
8 pieces lettuce
8 pita pockets (preferably the "pillowy" pockets that are slightly thicker than traditional pita pockets)

Steps:

  • Heat large skillet over medium heat and add 1 tablespoon of oil. Break turkey burgers up into small pieces and add pieces to skillet. Add allspice, cumin, and oregano and mix well. Cook 5 minutes to heat through, stirring frequently.
  • Meanwhile, in a small bowl, combine yogurt, cucumber and garlic powder. Mix well.
  • Place a piece of lettuce in the bottom of the pita pocket. Spoon turkey mixture onto lettuce in pita pockets and top with yogurt mixture.
