SOUTHWESTERN TURKEY PINWHEELS

Southwestern Turkey Pinwheels image

Pinwheels are soooo easy to make, and the perfect little sandwich to take to get togethers. I like to add green pepper, black beans, and green chilies to the cream cheese mix when I have them on hand, just to make these pinwheels even more festive looking! Cook time is chill time.

Delicious and nutritious, this dish was a favorite of the kids who participated in the junior chef classes I taught at my church. The recipe encouraged creativity and healthy eating as students designed their own salsa bowls using whole grains, vegetables and lean protein. -Jean Gottfried, Upper Sandusky, Ohio
